Alyssa was introduced to theatre when her best friend in 8th grade forced her to audition for the yearly show (The Nifty-Fifties Malt Shop Murder). This happy accident began a journey that quickly became Alyssa’s passion, her dream, her everything.

Alyssa’s love for acting blossomed further when she entered

high school. The excitement of musicals, classes geared

directly towards theatre, and theatrical competitions only

nurtured her growth. Fun fact! Her favorite roles in high

school were when she played Amber Von Tussle in

Hairspray: The Musical and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing.

In high school, Alyssa was introduced to weekend-long festivals geared directly towards all things theatre. Growing up in Missouri, she attended the Missouri Thespians Festival annually. Her sophomore year she entered in an Individual Events competition under the monologues category. A month later she received the news that she had received all superior ratings on her performance and was asked to perform at the International Thespians Festival to compete alongside her peers. Both of these festivals offered classes ranging from learning choreography from Heathers to creating a realistic villain.

Alyssa now has experience in multiple aspects of the arts, including: directing, screenwriting, cinematography, casting, producing, and of course, acting. Alyssa aspires to be a part of art that people have conversations about; conversations that lead to social change and bring people together rather than divide them. Alyssa believes from the bottom of her heart that she is an artist, and the world is her canvas to fill.
